The construction of the round wall of the proposed Kannur International Airport in Kerala is in progress. When the survey is completed the work of the Kannur airport will be streamlined. Moorkanparamb is 25 kilometre away from Kannur town. This airport will be built under public-private participation. Kannur International Airport Ltd.-KIAL- has been formed with Chief Minster as the Chairman. The cost of the share of the airport has been reduced from two lakh hundred rupees to fifty thousand so that local people can buy shares.
